I did something tonight that I never thought I would be capable of and I am darn proud. Tom is out of town for the week and of course the disposal gets plugged on his first day out:(!!! I had decided that I would just wait until he gets home in a few days to deal with it, but then he reminded me that it would start to stink. Ahhhhhhhhh. Tom gave the names of some guys to call and ask for help but after a few tears I decided that there really are not that many guys out there that were more capable than I would be to do this job. I hate the yucky mucky stuff that drains are suppose to take away never to be seen again...be so glad that I didn't take pictures...and never put pasta down the disposal unless your husband is home. I took the drains apart, cleaned out the plugged mess, and put everything back together with no leaks. I now know why plumbers charge what they do. Tom was crazy proud and promised that I would never have to do that again. I would love to know how he thinks he can stand behind that promise but it makes me feel much better anyway.

You go girl! Now I know who to call next time. Was Darrell on that list of guys to call? Ha! Ha! We always hope nothing will go wrong at our house too when Tom's out of town!
I hope I'm not out of town too much, I won't have anything left to fix when I get home. I gotta admit that's a good woman that will dig in and get dirty like that.

Wow! I am duly impressed. I think that Tom should show his appreciation and admiration with a nice dinner at a swanky restaurant (and DON'T forget to invite us!!)
I am so proud mom! I would have been hollering for Broc to come and do it! Or even tried Darrell before attacking it myself!
Wow, I'm impressed. I'm sure i'd have to call someone even if m hubby was home! All that money you saved on doing it yourself, you do deserve a night out!
