"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep a record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences."Gordon B. Hinckley, 2006

thankful thursday

This Thursday I am thankful for hunting season. Every year Tom and the boys head to Tom's old stomping grounds for a weekend of deer hunting. There is something to be said about traditions and the bond that they create because living with them the week before they leave feels just like Christmas. There is excitement, dreams, plans made, shopping and tons of "what ifs" and "remember whens". Tom looks forward to spending time with his brother Ron and his boy's and continuing the traditions that they had with their dad. I love to see their excitement and can't wait to hear this years stories.
It is darn cold out side and so I am also thankful for the hand and feet warmers they bought to take with.
