"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep a record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences."Gordon B. Hinckley, 2006

Wish I Was Minnesota Tom Tough

When an illness knocks you on your butt, you should stay down and relax for a while before trying to get back up.

I am just starting to feel better from having strep throat ( it was an 11 on a scale of 1 to 10)and now the cough has come to stay. Any one that knows me, knows all about the cough. It comes every season and stays as long as it possibly can. I HATE the cough. It makes me hurt, feel tired and worn out, it annoyes the living hell out of me. It effects everything I do. I am doing everthing possible to kick its sorry, no good butt out of my body!
So yesterday I went and bought supplements that will make my bones stronger, my memory better, boost my immune system, lower my cholesterol, etc... and with in 10 minutes of taking them, my tongue began to get real thick. I then remembered why I have never taken vitamins. They make my throw up. I tried to take prenatal vitamins with each of my pregnancy's and they would make me feel sea sick and then I would loose it. Maybe that's why my kids are always sick too, because I threw up the vitamins they needed.
And then there is Tom. I have seen him sick MAYBE three times in eleven years. He is Minnesota tough!! How does that happen? He doesn't eat any better than I do, he doesn't exercise any more than I do, he travels a lot, and I cough on him all the time. He does take airborn religiously and he washes his hands more than I do. Actually, he is kind of an airborn natzi... every time that I am sick I hear the word airborn more times than I could keep count. I want to be Minnesota tough, I want to get sick less. I am going to commit to washing my hands like I have ocd, drink the icky seltzer nasty airborn, and heat me up some Campbell's chicken noodle and see if I can toughen up.

Aww - Aunt Kris!! I actually want to vom when I take vitamins too. So I drink something that is totally heinous called Greens Plus and honestly... it tastes so horrible, but when I take it even my sinus issues clear up, I have mad energy and I feel really great and healthy. Try some!! *hug* And wash your hands.
