It Was "The Big One", Well The Biggest Yet

Yep...40. I celebrated for a week, as all women should. Amanda sent me the most gorgeous flowers, my Mom sent me a spa package, Tom gave me a gift card for the Born boots I have been drooling over for the past two years, and my friends spoiled my with really fun stuff. And I got this most amazing surprise......


I was all cuddle in on my birthday eve when Renee yelled at me to come downstairs. Just as I was coming out of my bedroom there they were, Brittney and Brecken!!!!!!! Brittney had decided to surprise me and bring me the best gift ever, my little love bug. Renee, you honey, thank you for getting them from the airport!
I started "my day" feeding Brecken a breakfast of lemon cake while his mommy slept in. It was awesome. For my birthday lunch Brittney, Brecken and I went to "The Cheesecake Factory" it was yummmmmy. Then we spent the afternoon Christmas shopping. When we got home from shopping the kids asked where we were going for my birthday dinner. Brittney made them promise that no matter where I choose they would go they would go and not complain. I think they were expecting someplace that you had to wait in line forever or have reservations when she brought the no complaining thing. I choose the ward Christmas Dinner...Tom had to work really late and I didn't want to go "out" with out him. They kids were bummed but they didn't say a word. It was really fun because..........

Santa was there!!! Brecken wasn't too sure, but I was so happy to get to see Brecken experience Santa for the first time!
The day after "My Day" we were going to meet all of our friends for dinner to celebrate! Alli and I are sisters with the same birthday and so we always celebrate together. Alli had set it all up to go this mexican place and Shelley had asked for a ride because Darrell was working late. When we went to pick up Shelley and she didn't come to the door right away I run up to the door to get her and SURPRISE!!!! There were all my friends....I love my friends. I was truly surprised, I had no idea.

So how do you celebrate a birthday in December in Minnesota? When you have friends that love the camera as much as you do, you pose, a lot! I'm only sharing a few of the photos from our shoot.

So, the above photo shows my girls trying to decide if they could hold my weight. Shelley in the back row (the skinny blond(she LOVES to be called skinny) in the red shirt) is saying bring it on, we can hold her...Nicole on the bottom row (the hot blond on the end in the black shirt) is already rubbing her back, she knows this may not be a great idea...Julie on the bottom row(the cute red head in the red and black shirt) is always up for anything and with a smile too...Alli sitting between Julie and Nicole(she's darling with short black hair)is trying to figure out how she can be the one that gets to be in the center of the picture.

They did it!! Notice that Alli seems to be holding most of the weight. She is really putting her all into holding me up there.

Tara and Andrea are too sweet to pack a gun and so they will awnser the phones at "The Agency". Renee, Julie, Me, Michelle, Shelley, Allison, Nicole, and Brittney we will be the "Heat Pack'in "Angels". Or maybe we will be the....

Cheer squad for all of our kids school games....

or not... we all came a tumblin down, and that started leg wars.


Poor Shelley, doesn't her neck look like it hurts? She is almost folded in half, and I'm not still laughing.......

Darn... I won!!!!!!!

When I see this picture of all of these amazingly beautiful women who bless my life I know that I am "The Ultimate Champion" I love you all!! Thanks so everyone that made me 40th so special.
