"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep a record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences."Gordon B. Hinckley, 2006

Cookies vs. Bars

So here's the thing... I love cookies,I love bars. What is the smarter of the two to bake when you home alone? Cookies. Why, because when everyone gets home and see how many bars have been cut out of the pan they know who ate them all. When you make batches of cookies no one really knows how many dozen were made and so there is no real evidence. I made fudge jumble bars yesterday and my comment to Kole who was the first one home was "I sure didn't eat good today, bars for lunch and for a snack later." "It happens" he said. I just kept hoping that he would wait until they cooled a little more before he had his first one as not to get busted. I was also hoping that he wasn't going to go for the left over wild rice soup that I really did have for lunch. I knew that he knew, but he didn't say a word. I love that kid.

Always make both and then drop one or the other at my house. We don't care which. Even a half pan wouldn't be questioned.
