"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep a record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences."Gordon B. Hinckley, 2006

Thankful Thursday

  • There was a lock down at Destany's school today!! For real, not a drill! Destany's was in 7th hour and over the intercom they were told to lock down the rooms. The principal then went room to room and asked the teacher to cover the windows and that the situation was serious. There was an armed gunman in the school, a criminal. That last sentence is a lie. It is the story that Destany told me when she got home. Sammy P heard the principal tell a teacher that...The message from the school said that there was a police chase in the area and they ordered a lock down. The suspect was caught near the school. Isn't it funny how a story can grow? So, I am VERY grateful that Destany and the rest of the school are safe and sound.
  • Windows are wide open, birds are singing and summer is knockin at the door.
  • One more day of early morning seminary...Next year Broc can drive! I should make a cake or something spectacular. When most events/experiences/life's journeys come to an end I am usually kinda sad. Not one tiny tear.
  • We have a new grill and it rocks! Inferred heat makes food so much more delicious.

Wow! I'm glad it wasn't in the school. Quite some excitement. What's an infrared grill? I don't know if we'll ever get summer here. Sat. we had rain, hail, snow, & wind. Of course we usually ahve wind. Today is soupposed to be sunny...so far so good, but rain/snow the rest of the week. Yuck!
